Republic Records Promotes Donna Gryn to EVP of Marketing Strategy

Republic Records has promoted Donna Gryn to executive vp of global marketing strategy, the label’s co-president Jim Roppo announced Tuesday (Oct. 4).

Gryn, who joined the label in 2012 as senior director of marketing, has handled marketing strategy for Republic acts including Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers, John Legend and Conan Gray during her time there. In her new role, she will oversee global business development and international marketing initiatives for the label’s entire roster. She will also be responsible for the department’s growing team of strategists.

Prior to Republic, Gryn worked in executive roles at Polo Grounds Music, Virgin Records and Star Trak Entertainment and consulted for Epic Records. She began her career in 2001 as an assistant at Roc-a-Fella Records while attending New York University. She was named to Billboard‘s 40 Under 40 list in 2014.

As such, she’s the perfect leader for our global marketing initiatives, and it’s an honor to announce her much-deserved promotion.”

Gryn added, “I’m extremely excited about this new role and this next phase at Republic. I’m beyond appreciative of Monte, Avery and Jim’s continued trust and support. They have created an atmosphere that empowers the team to think outside the box and succeed at the highest level.”
