Don Toliver Reveals Sweet Sneak Peek of His & Kali Uchis’ Baby Boy in ‘Deep in the Water’ Music Video: Watch

Don Toliver gives fans a sweet glimpse of fatherhood in the music video for his new single “Deep in the Water,” which he dropped Thursday (March 14).

His new blue-toned “Deep in the Water” visual starts where the music video for his last single “Bandit” leaves off. The lone star rides his motorcycle in the middle of the night and basks in a harsh white spotlight in the middle of the desert. But underneath his tough exterior, dressed in a custom Elliot Evan leather jacket with the “Hardstone Psycho” symbol emblazoned on the back, Toliver shows off his soft side by revealing glimpses of his and IRL girlfriend Kali Uchis‘ newborn baby boy. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together at the beginning of the year.

Following the YouTube premiere of the music video, the couple shared a short Instagram clip of them cradling their son in the hospital. “You are everything we could have hoped for & more. Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, & thank you all for the Good energy along the way. may our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health,” Uchis wrote in the caption.

“Deep in the water, far as I can see/ Deep in the water, it’s just you and me/ Deep in the water, far as I can see/ Deep in the water, through your pregnancy,” he croons in the chorus of the wavy R&B track.

Toliver performed his last single “Bandit” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week. The single, which samples Tame Impala‘s “One More Hour,” recently earned Toliver his first top 10 hit as a lead artist on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart. The song debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month.

Toliver is clearly back in album mode, one year after he released his third studio album Love Sick via Cactus Jack and Atlantic Records. Love Sick reached No. 4 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 8 on the Billboard 200. He’ll be performing at Rolling Loud California on Sunday, March 17, and is headed to NYC in June to perform at Governor’s Ball.
