Based on Nintendo’s popular video game series, Super Mario Bros. follows Mario and Luigi as they set out on a “whirlwind adventure through Mushroom Kingdom.” The brothers get separated, leaving it up to Mario to find and rescue Luigi from Bowser and save Mushroom Kingdom (with help from Princess Peach).


The animated blockbuster — starring Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser — has raked in more than $1.3 billion and counting at the global box office. The movie continues to reign at No. 1 on Prime Video ahead of other movies and shows including The Little Mermaid, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and John Wick 4.


With its huge box-office opening, Super Mario Bros. Movie surpassed Frozen as the highest grossing debut for an animated movie, and currently stands as the highest grossing movie of 2023 ahead of Barbie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Avatar: The Way of Water, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Little Mermaid. The animated hit held the No. 1 spot at the box office for four consecutive weeks.

The Walmart-exclusive limited-edition gift set includes a collectible tin that you can use to house and display the movie discs. The Walmart-exclusive gift set, which retails for $32.96, is currently out of stock but it could get restocked at some point.
