Will ‘Death Stranding 2: On The Beach’ get a PC release?

Death Stranding 2 PC Release: Sam and Lou can be seen

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is Sony’s latest PS5 blockbuster, and it has been a huge hit, with a strong set of review scores. But, the first game eventually came to PC, so is Sony going to bring the sequel to the platform too?

Well, there is some context needed around the first game’s PC release to understand why it may come to PC down the line and why Sony likely won’t publish it.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is likely to come to PC at some point over the next few years, with the game being published by 505 Games. 505 Games published the first game on PC and Xbox, and as Kojima Productions owns the IP, there shouldn’t be anything preventing the game from coming to PC and potentially Xbox once Sony’s exclusivity agreement ends.

Even still, the release will likely arrive sometime in 2026 or 2027, as Death Stranding took 9 months to come to PC and around five years to come to Xbox. Kojima is also busy working on two other games right now, OD for Microsoft and Physint for Sony, with the latter returning him to the espionage action genre. So, there is a lot to keep him occupied and that may delay the PC release of Death Stranding 2 slightly.

Whenever the game arrives, it will likely launch alongside a new content update with some small additions, in a similar way to the Director’s Cut, which launched on PS5 and PC. Although what that could be is unknown until it is fully revealed. We will keep this article updated with the latest on a PC release as and when we hear it.
