Who did the music for ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’?
Doom: The Dark Ages has received strong reviews, however, one point of criticism has been the soundtrack. After a well-publicised dispute with Bethesda during Doom Eternal‘s launch, the beloved composer has not returned for this latest entry.
That begs the question: who is composing the soundtrack to Doom: The Dark Ages, and where can you listen to it? Here is a breakdown.
Doom: The Dark Ages‘ soundtrack was composed and created by Finishing Move, an award-winning production group that has worked on some of the biggest games, TV shows, films, and entertainment properties in the world.
This includes games like Halo 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, The Callisto Protocol, Borderlands 3, and more. Most of their recent work has been in games and specifically working on Microsoft games. So, it isn’t too surprising to see them take on the role of crafting this soundtrack.
You can listen to this soundtrack on the major streaming services you use. This includes Spotify and Apple Music. The full soundtrack can be listened to, so if you have a favourite piece or track, you can add it to your playlists or favourites.
We loved the game, stating in our review that “They’ve switched things up again with Doom: The Dark Ages – and the result is mostly a resounding success. The cookie cutter dragon and mech levels aside, this is one of the best FPS campaigns you can play, filled with levels you will leap back into right after they finish, all supported by a dynamic and deep relationship between melee, shield and guns.”
