With June nearly over, stars including Lorde, Alex Warren with ROSÉ, and Lizzo spent their Friday (June 27) dropping new singles and albums. But which ones were your favorites?

After four years of waiting, Lorde finally gifted her fans Virgin, an 11-track pop fantasia that sees the New Zealand-born singer-songwriter touching on issues such as body dysmorphia, the gender binary, heartbreak and self-actualization across a stunning set of pop hooks. With previous singles “What Was That,” “Man of the Year” and “Hammer” helping amp up the project’s cutting message, Virgin stands as one of Lorde’s most ambitious projects yet.

After earning his first No. 1 smash-hit “Ordinary,” rising pop singer Alex Warren decided to team up with dyed-in-the-wool pop superstar ROSÉ for their new collaboration, “On My Mind.” The driving new folk-pop song centers both Warren and ROSÉ’s voices, as the duo wail over a pounding chorus about a past lover still lingering in their lives.

Meanwhile, Lizzo makes a surprising return with My Face Still Hurts From Smiling, a hard left-turn from the pop stylings of fellow 2025 singles “Still Bad” and “Love in Real Life” into fiery rap verses. With featured guests including superstars SZA and Doja Cat, Lizzo goes for the jugular throughout her radical mixtape to excoriate exes, doubters, haters and anyone else trying to dim her shine.

Elsewhere, girl group KATSEYE is taking the momentum the sextet gained with breakout hit “Gnarly” and running with it on debut album Beautiful Chaos. Weaving in and out of different sounds, the pop group proves itself yet again as a bold and versatile act with its eye on the top of the charts with the audacious new album.
