We Are Scientists announce ‘With Love & Squalor’ 20th anniversary UK tour

We Are Scientists have announced a ‘With Love & Squalor’ 20th anniversary UK tour. See all the ticket information below.

The string of shows will celebrate their 2005 debut album by playing it in full, alongside other “fan favourites”, with their longtime collaborator Andy Burrows joining all three dates as a “special guest”.

They’ll kick things off in Glasgow on October 15, before playing shows in Manchester on 17 and London on 18. You can find venue details below.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (July 25) at 10am, and you’ll be able to get yours here. Alternatively, you can sign up to presale here, which will go live at 10am on July 24.

At the time of the ‘With Love & Squalor”s release, NME reviewed the album, giving it 7/10 and calling it “an accomplished pack of coiled, brash rock with a jarring energy softened by a catchy way with a tune.”

In 2019, the band reflected on the album’s lasting impact in an interview with NME, with Chris Cain theorising why it has remained so popular. “It’s got the melancholy quality of the lyrics that would allow people to go to those songs when they were having tough times, but it’s also not downer music.

“Once you’re done with your depressive post-break-up week, this record could continue to come with you as you’re like, ‘I’m joining the gym!’ You could take this on the treadmill, through your teenage years and early 20s.”

We Are Scientists’ 2025 ‘With Love & Squalor’ 20th anniversary UK tour dates are:

OCTOBER
15 – Glasgow, SWG3 TV Studio
17 – Manchester, New Century Hall
18 – London, Roundhouse

In other news, last week We Are Scientists released their latest album ‘Qualifying Miles’ – the band’s acclaimed ninth studio album.
