Watch Warwick Davis join Madness on stage and “beat up” saxophone player
Madness brought out actor Warwick Davis as a surprise guest during their recent live show. Check out footage below.
The moment took place as the Ska giants took to the stage in Cornwall as part of the line-up for this year’s edition of the Eden Project.
In the set, they continued the gimmicky aspect of their show where saxophone player Lee “Thommo” Thompson dresses up as a burglar, and a bunch of cops come on stage to beat him up.
This time around, though, Suggs and co. enlisted help from the Star Wars and Harry Potter star – having him come onto the stage dressed as a policeman and chasing the other cops away, before proceeding to beat up Thompson himself.
@madnessbandofficial Nothing to see here, move along… Just Thommo getting arrested by Warwick Davis at Eden Project last night… #edensessions #madness #ontour #concert #madnessband #Suggs #ska #shutup #thommo #leekixthompson #leethompson #warwickdavis #warwickdavisfans #willow
That wasn’t the last time the hit actor was seen either, as he also returned to the stage later in the set.
As per a report from Contact Music, Davis told the band members ahead of the show that he used to dance to ‘One Step Beyond’ in his bedroom, and said that he’d do it again if they played it on the night.
In keeping with the comments, Madness broke out the song during their Eden Sessions performance, and Davis took to the stage to join in with the performance.

Also lined-up as headliners for Eden Sessions 2025 were The Libertines, who played at the visitor attraction and botanical gardens near St. Austell on July 13, and Biffy Clyro, who played their set on July 10.
As for other Madness news, the band released their most recent studio album ‘Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie’ in 2023, marking the 13th full-length record of their career.
It arrived seven years after the release of their last record – 2016’s ‘Can’t Touch Us Now’, and arrived with singles including ‘Baby Burglar’ and ‘C’est La Vie’. They also performed at an intimate show at the Koko venue in London to celebrate the release.
