Tyla is paying a gorgeous homage to Jungle‘s viral “Back on 74” music video by reimagining it for Gap’s Spring 2024 campaign Linen Moves.

Co-directed by Charlie Di Placido and J Lloyd, the same minds behind the original “Back on 74″ music video,” the video finds Tyla effortlessly executing new choreography courtesy of Shay Latukolan (who also worked on Jungle’s clip) while in pieces from Gap’s new collection. Given that the Afropop crossover star won her first Grammy (best African music performance for Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit “Water”) earlier on Feb. 4, Tyla’s collaboration with Gap is reminiscent of the brand’s roots as a company with its ear to the streets of pop culture across music, dance and fashion.

“It’s an absolute honor to be in a Gap campaign – so many iconic artists have worked with Gap and I now get to be one of them,” said Tyla via Gap’s press release on Feb. 27.  “I’m excited for my fans to see me do a new type of dance where I’m styled in comfortable clothes with my own personal touches. It was really fun – a true celebration of music, fashion and dance.”

“Back on 74” served as the fourth and final single from Jungle’s fourth studio album, Volcano, which reached No. 165 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on Top Dance/Electronic Albums in 2023. The bluesy song landed on three Billboard genre charts — Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (No. 35), Hot Dance/Electronic Songs (No. 9) and Hot Alternative Songs (No. 16) — thanks, in large part, to its viral music video. The official “Back on 74” music video, which debuted on Aug. 10, 2023, has amassed more than 20 million YouTube views to date.

In addition to Linen Moves, Gap is also set to collaborate with both Tyla and Jungle — who are currently nominated for their first career BRIT Award (group of the year) — to craft in-store playlists that fans will also be able to stream on Spotify.
