Last night’s (May 17) SNL season 50 finale marked the Puerto Rican rapper’s third time on the show, after previous performances in February 2021 and pulling double duty as both host and musical guest in October 2023.
After being introduced by host Scarlett Johansson, the singer launched into ‘NUEVAYoL’, the opening track from his sixth studio album, ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos‘. The performance paid homage to the iconic Lunch atop a Skyscraper photo, with Bunny and his dancers dressed as ironworkers as they sat on a steel beam.
Having arrived in January, the record followed Bad Bunny’s last full-length release, 2023’s ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana‘ (which translates as ‘Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow’).
In a glowing five-star review of ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, Lucas Villa wrote for NME: “On ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, Benito revolutionises Puerto Rico’s folk music and reclaims his reggaeton throne with game-changing fusions that are authentic to him and what he believes in.”
He rounded off his ‘SNL’ performance with ‘PERFuMITO NUEVO’, which saw him joined by RaiNao on a set modelled after a graffiti-covered club bathroom.
Earlier this month, Bad Bunny added a second Tottenham Hotspur Stadium date to his massive 2025/2026 world tour. The recently unveiled tour will see him visit Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
