Travis Scott Brings the Rage With Fiery Medley Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards

After failing to secure his first gold trophy for best rap album at this year’s Grammy Awards, Travis Scott unleashed his rage during an explosive three-song medley at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Sunday night (Feb. 4).

The smoky set became Scott’s Utopia as he first steamrolled through “My Eyes” and “I Know.” The first two songs found the artist calm and composed while rapping to his muse on the latter. Then, the ultimate rager of rap spiked up the aggression when he performed his earth-shattering album standout “Fe!n.” Scott picked up chairs and anything within his reach and tossed them angrily while fire shot through the stage. Later, a masked Playboi Carti made a cameo and performed while Scott continued his on-set demolition.

Earlier in the night, Scott’s Utopia was in contention for best rap album alongside Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss, Nas’ King Disease III, Metro Boomin’ Heroes and Villians. Killer Mike’s Michael took home the night’s honor, confusing the 10-time Grammy nominee, who later scurried to X and posted a raised eyebrow emoji.

In 2018, Scott was visibly upset after his lauded effort Astroworld lost in the same category to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy. In Scott’s Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly, the rapper walked off upon learning the news and was cursing to himself.

Scott’s Utopia enjoyed a monstrous 2023, rocketing to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 496,000 album-equivalent units, becoming the rapper’s third chart-topper. The album included features from Drake, Beyonce, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Bad Bunny, SZA, Kid Cudi and more.
