Travis Kelce Jersey Sales Get Insane Taylor Swift Bump

Once again, Taylor Swift lifts all boats. After Tay spent her Sunday afternoon cheering on Kansan City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce from a box at Arrowhead Stadium alongside Travis’ mom, the football star is already starting to feel the Swift Effect.

“Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top five selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” a spokesperson for the NFL’s official e-commerce partner, Fanatics, said in a statement according to CNN.

While KC’s big win was the headline, Swift’s appearance dominated coverage of the game, with the color commentators repeatedly referring to her presence in the stadium and cameras cutting to her reaction shots as if the 41-10 drubbing of the Chicago Bears was the Grammy Awards. Swift was rocking a red and white KC team jacket during the game, ramping up more than a week of speculation about whether the singer and Kelce are dating; to date neither Swift nor Kelce have commented on or confirmed the rumors.

The tight end’s brother Jason Kelce, a fellow NFL player, has been having a blast teasing the rumored romance in various interviews. Travis previously shared that he would not be averse to a date with Swift in July after attending The Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium. At the time, Travis revealed during an appearance on the New Heights podcast that he had tried to slip Swift his phone number via a friendship bracelet, but failed. “I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he admitted at the time.

The pair reportedly left Arrowhead together after Sunday’s game and were spotted driving off in a convertible. After wrapping up the first run of North American dates of her record-setting Eras Tour, Swift will be back on the road on Oct. 18 for the first date of a three-night stand at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL. Kelce will be back in action on Sunday (Oct. 1) when his team goes on the road to battle the 1-2 NY Jets.
