Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan explains how she fell for Ronnie Radke catfish scandal: “I was lonely”
Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan has explained why she fell for the catfish scandal involving Ronnie Radke, saying that it caught her in a vulnerable moment of loneliness.
Things involving the three of them kicked off last month, when it came to light that Furlan – who is married to the Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee – had been messaging someone pretending to be Falling In Reverse singer Ronnie Radke on Snapchat.
Radke would later expose this to be a catfish situation, taking to Instagram and revealing that he did not have a Snapchat account. He also said that Furlan had sent him unanswered messages on the site, claimed that she “refused to believe” she was catfished, and accused her of “calling my lawyer and threatening me”.
“I like you bro I wouldn’t mess with your wife,” Radke then told Lee, with the latter responding: “That’s funny because she says you’re lying”.
Afterwards, Furlan responded to Radke’s claims in a now-deleted seven-minute TikTok video. “I’ve had enough. He’s been harassing me for two weeks. He’s been sent three cease and desists and has not listened,” she said. “For the final time – leave me alone Ronnie.”
She then addressed the mishap and admitted to speaking to an individual on Snapchat, all while acknowledging that it was wrong.
Now, in a new and final episode of her podcast with Brittany Schmitt, This Is the Worst, Furlan has explained how she fell for the impersonation and why she entertained the conversation with the person outside of her marriage.
“I reached a place of loneliness in my marriage where I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I got to a point where I was just so incredibly lonely and we were very disconnected for a very long time,” she said.
“And when this person reached out to me on Snapchat, I took the bait. I think coming from a place of desperate loneliness, you kind of grasp onto any affection that anyone gives you or attention or whatever.”
She also went on to say that she was fooled by the person because they seemed to know a lot of details about her personal life. “They knew the ins and outs of my relationship, which is really weird… They were like, ‘I know you’ve been with your husband for a while, I know he drinks a lot.’ They’ve talked to me about this stuff,” she added.
As for how she and Lee plan to continue given the situation, she shared: “All of this happening has weirdly brought us closer together, which is really strange. I think we were finally faced with the reality of, what would life really be like without each other?”

In other Ronnie Radke news, earlier this year the singer stirred controversy again in Australia, and a report was filed with police down under over “unacceptable” videos he allegedly made about Australian politicians.
