TikTok normally encourages us to spend our money on everything from makeup dupes to unique-shaped bags, but a new viral challenge is actually pushing you to save money. The interactive method called “cash stuffing” is just another name for a budgeting tactic that requires you to set aside cash in envelopes or a binder for a set amount of time.

The result is a stack full of cash that you can use on everything from travel deals for a beachside vacation, to splurge on Taylor Swift’s Aupen bag and more. To help you kickstart your savings adventure, Amazon is offering a money-saving binder to make it easier to join the 100-day challenge and save upward of $5,050.

What Is Cash Stuffing?

Digital banking makes it easier to spend money with just a simple tap, but to help cut back on impulsive buying, cash stuffing requires you to take actual cash and put it inside of envelopes or a binder with pockets. Most TikTokers are using the 100-day method, which requires you to number envelopes or a binder with pockets from one to 100. Each number equates to an amount of money, and each day you’ll choose a number and put the corresponding amount of money into it, then mark it off.

If you follow through with it, then at the end of the 100 days you’ll have $5,050 in cash savings to do whatever you desire.

TikTok user @the.milli.way is just one of the hundreds of people taking on this challenge and they break it down in the video below using their own version of a 100-day binder.

You don’t just want to store your money anywhere, though, which is why there is a special 100-envelope savings challenge binder that will keep your money safe, while making sure you stay on track to that $5,050 goal.

Instead of hunting through the variety of options online, Billboard Shopping found an Amazon version that’s affordable yet cute to help you get saving faster.
