These are the best gigs to see this month

We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves just because the clocks have gone forward and we’re starting to see actual sunshine, but it does feel like summer is just around the corner, doesn’t it?

Coachella kicks off later this month, with the two-weekend festival set to be headlined by Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat, with a special performance by a reunited No Doubt, while Glastonbury has also announced their lineup for the 2024 event.

It won’t be long before Taylor Swift’s mighty ‘Eras’ tour will be touching down in the UK either, and before you know it, the annual bank holiday bash of Reading & Leeds will be rounding out another rowdy summer by way of  Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey, Blink-182, Fred Again.., Gerry Cinnamon and Catfish & The Bottlemen.

Before all that though, there’s a bunch of brilliant gigs taking place across the UK offering escapism, euphoria and boisterous singalongs. To help you get the most out of the month, we’ve rounded up the very best gigs that are taking place over the next few weeks.

Tate McRae

Tate McRae first broke through with emotionally charged debut single ‘You Broke Me First’ and the raw bedroom pop of ‘All the Things I Never Said’. Debut album ‘I Used To Think I Could Fly’ was as heartbreaking as they come, but with 2023’s second album ‘Think Later’, McRae is going all in on massive pop bangers. Both ‘Greedy’ and ‘Exs’ have become breakout hits, and her upcoming headline tour is set to be a swaggering showcase of her talent.
