The Black Keys have officially announced their 13th album ‘No Rain, No Flowers’ – listen to the new title track below.

The Ohio rock duo – comprising Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – are due to release the 11-song record on Friday August 8 via Easy Eye Sound/Parlophone. Pre-order/pre-save here.

It’ll feature the band’s 2025 singles ‘The Night Before’ and ‘Babygirl’. To further preview the forthcoming project, The Black Keys have dropped the breezy and summer-ready title track today (May 16).

They have also shared further details about the follow-up to their 2024 LP ‘Ohio Players’.

Produced by The Black Keys themselves and recorded at Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, the upcoming album features the likes of Grammy-winning songwriters Rick Nowels and Daniel Tashian, as well as legendary keys player/producer Scott Storch (Dr. Dre, The Roots).

Auerbach explained: “I had worked with Rick Nowels on Lana Del Rey’s ‘Ultraviolence’. We’d never really collaborated with a keyboard player or someone who writes on piano the way he does, but it clicked immediately.

“This whole album was really laboured over with a lot of love. We hope you feel that.”

Carney added: “We wanted to go straight to the source – into the room with people known for their songwriting. Daniel Tashian was one of the first people I met after moving to Nashville, and we’ve been fans of Scott Storch forever.”

An official description reads: “‘No Rain, No Flowers’ delivers an eclectic sound shaped by the energy and spirit of the band’s wildly popular Record Hangs – dance parties where Auerbach and Carney take turns spinning rare, but truly potent cuts from their impressive collection of vinyl 45s for baying crowds of longtime fans and new converts alike.

“These electrifying and carefully curated happenings have directly influenced the groove-driven, danceable vibe of the new record.

“More than two decades into their career, The Black Keys consistently continue to create music on their own terms, fueled by instinct, passion, and a refusal to settle. ‘No Rain, No Flowers’ is a testament to the band’s deep commitment to their craft and their enduring creativity.”

The Black Keys are scheduled to play three outdoor UK shows this summer, held at Millennium Square in Leeds, Castlefield Bowl in Manchester, and Alexandra Palace Park in London. Support will come from Miles Kane. Find any remaining tickets here.

This month will see the duo hit the road in North America, with a second stateside leg also lined up for later in 2025. Find any remaining tickets here.

Last year, The Black Keys were forced to cancel their 2024 North American tour after a dispute with their former management company.

Carney spoke to NME in 2023 about the band’s time working with the “incredible” Noel Gallagher on ‘Ohio Players’. “He’s hilarious and super talented,” he said. “We were referring to him as ‘The Chord Lord’ because he’s just a perfectionist with it.”
