The Band Perry Returns With New Label, Management Deals

After announcing a hiatus in 2023, The Band Perry is back. The trio has signed a label deal with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, marking the group’s return to country music. It also reunites the band with Big Machine Label Group (BMLG), which released the trio’s earliest albums. The group has also signed with Make Wake Artists for management.

The Band Perry recently underwent a lineup change, with the trio now including siblings Kimberly Perry and Reid Perry, as well as Kimberly’s husband, Johnny Costello. Costello replaces former band member Neil Perry.

At Make Wake Artists, the trio is represented by Shelby MarvelSophia Sansone and Chris Kappy. The firm is also the management home of Luke Combs, Flatland Cavalry, The Castellows and more.

“The best of this format is about life experience, and the best stories are told by the ones who choose to live in bright colors,” BMLG founder, chairman and CEO Scott Borchetta said in a statement. “The Band Perry have always explored the edges of their lives, art, and environment, and have brought a world of experiences back to us for a new season of music that explores all the above. Fans old and new are going to love it.”

“The new music The Band Perry is creating is next level, while recalling the iconic, multi-Platinum sound that fans know and love,” added Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment president/CEO Jimmy Harnen. “Scott, the entire team and I are incredibly excited about the future of The Band Perry.”

“Coming back home to our Big Machine / Nashville Harbor family feels like a beautiful full-circle moment for us,” Kimberly Perry said. “To bring the foundation of everything we’ve built together into a new season of creativity means the world. This reunion feels like a second chance, a deeper chapter, and we’re just so grateful to be writing it with the family who believed in us first.”

“We’ve been longtime admirers of Make Wake — not just the success, but the spirit behind it,” Perry continued. “They lead with heart, hustle, and a deep love for artists. The house that Kappy + Co. have built is one we’ve dreamt of joining for a long time, and now that we’re here, it feels like the perfect creative home. We’re honored to be part of the family.”

“I’m so honored to partner with The Band Perry,” Marvel said. “Their vision for this new chapter is both fresh and rooted in the heart of the genre, and we’re proud to walk alongside them as they reconnect with the fans and community who’ve loved them from the start.”

“From the moment I met with Kimberly in March, I could immediately see and feel her vision for this next chapter,” Sansone added. “The Band knows this business inside and out — they’ve done it all, and now they’re coming back with full force. I’m incredibly proud to be managing them. They already feel like family, and I can’t wait for the world to experience what’s next. They are what country music has been missing.”

The Band Perry, known for songs including “Better Dig Two” and “You Lie,” won single and song of the year at the CMA Awards for the Kimberly Perry-written “If I Die Young.” They also picked up a Grammy for best country duo/group performance for their rendition of “Gentle on My Mind,” included on the soundtrack to the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.

After releasing the country albums The Band Perry (2010) and Pioneer (2013), the band issued the pop-aimed EP Coordinates in 2018. In 2023, Kimberly, Neil and Reid announced that the group was taking a hiatus so that each member could focus on other creative endeavors. That same year, Kimberly released the solo projects Bloom and Superbloom, while Neil released a slate of solo singles.
