‘Standing’ Tall, Tim McGraw Achieves His 60th Country Airplay Top 10

Tim McGraw adds his milestone 60th top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, as “Standing Room Only” pushes from No. 11 to No. 10 on the list dated Oct. 14.

In the tracking week ending Oct. 5, the single gained by 4% to 18.7 million impressions, according to Luminate.

The song was written by Tommy Cecil, Patrick Murphy and Craig Wiseman, and co-produced by McGraw and Byron Gallimore. It’s the lead single from McGraw’s same-named album, which arrived at its No. 17 high on Top Country Albums (Sept. 9). He earned his 24th top 20 entry with the LP, a sum that includes 17 No. 1s.

McGraw ties Kenny Chesney for the second-most top 10s since Country Airplay began in January 1990. George Strait is first with 61, while Alan Jackson ranks fourth with 51 and Keith Urban rounds out the top five with 44.

McGraw last reached the Country Airplay top 10 with “7500 OBO,” which hit No. 2 in July 2022. He last topped the chart in December 2016 as featured on Florida Georgia Line’s “May We All.”

McGraw initially hit the chart’s top 10 with “Indian Outlaw,” which hit No. 8 in April 1994. He notched his first of 29 leaders with “Don’t Take the Girl” that May.

Make It a Double

Meanwhile, Lainey Wilson’s “Watermelon Moonshine” rules Country Airplay for a second week (30.4 million, up 12%). It’s the ninth of 15 leaders this year to reign for more than one week, while her third career No. 1 becomes her second to dominate for multiple weeks, after “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell led for two frames beginning in April 2022.

All charts dated Oct. 14 will update Tuesday, Oct. 10, on Billboard.com.
