Sophie Turner says ‘Game Of Thrones’ sex scenes were “really crazy shit”
Sophie Turner has described the sex scenes in Game Of Thrones as “crazy shit”, and joked that she got “more than enough” sex education while making the show.
The British actor starred in the hit HBO series as Sansa Stark, appearing for the show’s entire run. She was just 14 years old when she started filming, and in a recent interview joked about the show’s graphic nature making an impression on her.
While appearing on the Dish podcast, she discussed the many sex scenes featured in the series, describing them as “really crazy shit”. “I definitely got my sex education from that show” she joked. “More, more than enough”.
When looking back on the experience as a whole, the actor was glowing in her recollection. “I loved it. I did love making it. It was it, it was like, it was the best acting class I’ve ever had” she said. “‘Cause I never had like proper, formal training, so I got to learn from the amazing actors around me, which was like, I felt like I’d won, you know, a competition or something”.
She continued: “It was great. It was like we all were a family and the character I got to live with for ten years, so it felt like we kind of merged into one person by the end of it. But it was amazing. It informed my entire life in terms of like business decisions, just etiquette on set, how to act, everything, everything I learned from Game of Thrones. And a bit from my parents”.
Aside from Game Of Thrones, Turner would go on to appear in two X-Men films and starred in the ITV drama Joan. Late last year, she was reported to be in negotiations to appear in the planned Tomb Raider TV show being developed by Amazon.
