SF9 release futuristic music video for ‘Puzzle’, the lead single of new mini-album ‘THE PIECE OF9’

K-pop boyband SF9 have unveiled a music video for their latest single ‘Puzzle’, from their new mini-album ‘THE PIECE OF9’.

On January 9 at midnight KST, the FNC Entertainment act released the music video for their brand-new single ‘Puzzle’, ahead of the release of their 12th mini-album ‘THE PIECE OF9’ later at 6PM KST the same day.

The slick new visual features the members of SF9 as secret agents. Each of them conduct their own investigations and surveillance, later piecing together their clues on an evidence board in a meeting room.

“Troublin’ troublin’ troublin’ / A puzzled face, Mumblin’ / Again my mind is Rumblin’ / You’re in trouble,” they sing on the chorus.

In addition to ‘Puzzle’, ‘THE PIECE OF9’ includes five B-sides, titled ‘Love Colour’, ‘New World’, ‘Fighter’, ‘Tight’ and ‘Stay with me’. Several members from the group participated in the writing and production of all tracks on the record.

The new release marks SF9’s first comeback since July 2022’s ‘THE WAVE OF9’, which they promoted as a six-member act. Members Inseong and Youngbin had started their mandatory military service terms back in March and are currently inactive, while Rowoon was unable to participate due to schedule clashes with a K-drama he was filming at the time.

In December, SF9 wrapped up their ‘Live Fantasy #4 Delight’ tour in Seoul and North America. The group had kicked off the tour with a three-night residency in Seoul in November, before performing in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Denver across the last few weeks before wrapping up in Los Angeles on December 10.

In other K-pop news, BTS have announced the upcoming release of their concert film BTS: Yet To Come in Cinemas of their massive sold-out concert in Busan back in October, which will screen in movie theatres worldwide from February 2023. In a five-star review of the show, NME’s Rhian Daly  wrote: “BTS are artists that always give their all, but tonight it feels like they dig harder and deeper than ever.”
