Rezz Launches New Record Label, HypnoVizion

After years of releases on myriad major and indie labels, Rezz is launching a label of her own, HypnoVizion.

The imprint will be distributed by Universal Music Canada in partnership with Virgin Music Label and Artist Services. HypnoVizion’s first release is yet to be announced.

The move comes seven years after the Canadian electronic phenom, born Isabelle Rezazadeh, dropped her first official release via Skrillex‘s OWSLA label. Her first two albums, 2017’s Mass Manipulation and 2018’s A Certain Kind of Magic, were released via Deadmau5‘s maustrap imprint, with her following album, 2022’s Spiral, out via RCA Records.

RCA also released Rezz’s most recent single, “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This),” an update of the 1983 Eurythmics classic that’s been a major festival hit this season. Rezz’s edit — a characteristically heavy release by an artist who’s made her name via heavy, trippy low-end music — hit No. 42 on Dance/Electronic Songs. Her biggest song on this chart is 2021’s “Hypnocurrency,” a collaboration with Deadmau5 that hit No. 14 in May of 2021.

“After years of consideration, finally I’m launching my own label called HypnoVizion,” Rezz says. “As my touring schedule has become more specific, I have more time to focus on other projects I am passionate about. A music label being one of them! I can’t wait to hear all the cool new songs by artists and play them in my sets and even collaborate with them.”

Rezz is playing a pair of shows at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre October 27-28. Read our 2019 cover story here.
