PinkPantheress Receives Producer of the Year Presented by Bose at Billboard’s Women in Music 2024

PinkPantheress received the Producer of the Year Award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music celebration for empowering women in a space where they are severely underrepresented.

The UK native began posting her catchy breakout single “Pain” on TikTok in December 2020 and shortly after she became one of the most intriguing artists in the entire industry. Her use of samples mixed with drum ‘n bass production made a regional sound trend globally – a rare feat for any artist, but especially an emerging one.

The singer, songwriter, and producer remains loyal to the setup that got her here: microphone, GarageBand, and a seasoned ear for finding perfect samples.

PinkPantheress accepted the Producer of the Year Award presented by Bose at YouTube Theater during Billboard’s highly anticipated Women In Music event on Wednesday, March 6.

Fellow woman in music Coco Jones presented the Producer of the Year, detailing the significance of PinkPantheress’ rise and even singing the viral hook of “Boy’s a liar.”

The Producer of the Year Award is just one of the many ways Bose is showing up for women in music production. In addition to PinkPantheress receiving the award, emerging artist and influencer Kenzie Ziegler walked the carpet in a custom pair of Bose Ultra Open Earbuds designed by bespoke jewelry designer Maggi Simpkins.

Kenzie Ziegler checked in with Billboard on the carpet to talk about her custom Bose Ultra Open Earbuds and what it means to be a woman in music today.

This feature was created in paid partnership with Bose. Check out more from Women in Music here.
