Speaking about their new album, the Pet Shop Boys said recently: “We wanted this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human.
“From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album.”
Earlier this year, Pet Shop Boys covered David Bowie’s ‘All the Young Dudes’ in a performance for BBC Radio 2.
The duo played a session at Maida Vale Studios on Friday (February 23) with the BBC Concert Orchestra for the station, also playing their new single ‘Loneliness’ and their 1988 classic ‘Left to My Own Devices’.
