Oasis Live ’25: Liam Gallagher voices Manchester tram announcements ahead of Heaton Park homecoming gigs
Oasis is set to start their slew of Manchester dates of their Live ’25 tour tomorrow (July 11), and fans in Manchester should expect to hear Liam Gallagher’s voice announcing the stops on the city’s Metrolink trams.
Liam and Noel Gallagher recently kicked off their highly anticipated tour in Cardiff last week (July 4 and 5) – playing their first live shows together in 16 years and bringing out both Cast and Richard Ashcroft as special guests.
Now, the brothers are set to head back to Manchester for their first homecoming shows. This will see them play to around 80,000 each night at the huge Heaton Park venue, with gigs taking place on July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20.
As the Manchester Evening News reports, four different tram stop announcements, voiced by Liam, will be played at the Heaton Park stop on all concert dates. According to the outlet, Liam says, “The next stop is…. Heaton Parrrk,” before pausing and adding, “Off you go”.

Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said of Gallagher’s involvement and the Oasis reunion: “We’ve not got long to wait now until our city-region hosts the most eagerly awaited homecoming of all time and the excitement is already building here in Greater Manchester.”
Burnham continued: “It’s brilliant that Liam is lending his legendary vocals to the Bee Network once again and I’d urge everyone to listen out for them when getting off the tram at Heaton Park for the gigs.”
This isn’t Liam Gallagher’s first time making tram announcements on Manchester’s Metrolink. Back in 2023, he was announced as a surprise announcer in celebration of the Bee Network, Greater Manchester’s integrated public transport system, and Beyond the Music festival.
Those going to one of the Oasis Manchester gigs can expect Cast to take the stage at 6pm, followed by Richard Ashcroft, who will follow at 7pm. Oasis will take to the stage at 8:15pm and play until the 10:30pm curfew.
Stage times are:
Doors – 3pm
Cast – 6pm
Richard Ashcroft – 7pm
Oasis – 8:15pm
Ends – 10:30pm
As for the weather, for both Friday and Saturday shows (July 11 and 12), predominantly sunny conditions are expected throughout. When doors open around 3pm, both will have warm and dry weather, with temperatures sitting around 30ºC. It will stay like this throughout the performances from Cast, Richard Ashcroft and Oasis, and temperatures will only decline by a few degrees around 10pm.
For Wednesday’s show (July 16), warm conditions will continue, although there will likely be some light rain throughout the day. When doors open, it will be around 22ºC, and this will remain roughly the same until curfew at 10:30pm.
The following Saturday (July 19) will see thundery showers and light winds throughout the day, and temperatures will sit around 23ºC until roughly 7pm. From there, the rest of the evening will see the rain clear up and cloudy conditions take over for the remainder of the night.
Finally, the final of the five Heaton Park shows (Sunday July 20) will see light clouds and a gentle breeze all day, with temperatures hovering around the 23ºC mark from midday up until 11pm.
After their five shows in Manchester, the Britpop icons will play seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, as well as make stops in both Edinburgh and Dublin. From there they will head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
At the first of their 2025 live shows, NME gave the show in Cardiff a full five-star review and wrote: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.
“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
