That’s a 574% boost in units from June 2-8, when the album earned 11,000.

Of that 71,000-unit sum, 48,000 are via streaming equivalent units, while 23,000 are via album sales.

The 48,000-unit streaming unit count is the biggest for any album on Top Rock & Alternative Albums in 2023 and the largest for any album on the tally since Zach Bryan’s American Heartbreak debuted at No. 1 on the June 4, 2022, survey with 65,000 of its 71,000 total units from streaming.

Stick Season is Kahan’s first No. 1 on all four tallies. The album debuted at No. 5 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums upon its release in October 2022.

The all-format Billboard 200 also sees Stick Season leap 100-3, a new peak after it debuted at No. 14.

Multiple songs from the album – both via its standard edition and the newly released deluxe version – concurrently reach Billboard’s song-based charts, led by “Dial Drunk,” which debuts at No. 1 on Hot Alternative Songs. The song bows with 9.5 million official U.S. streams, 582,000 radio audience impressions and 1,000 downloads sold.

“Dial Drunk” is Kahan’s first Hot Alternative Songs No. 1. Its streaming count also sends it to No. 1 on Alternative Streaming Songs, Kahan’s first ruler there, as well.

On Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, “Dial Drunk” starts at No. 3, a new best. Previously, Kahan had risen as high as No. 12 with “Stick Season” in November 2022; the song reached recurrency in January but returns to the latest survey, achieving a new peak as it re-enters at No. 8.

As previously reported, “Dial Drunk” is Kahan’s first song to reach the all-format Billboard Hot 100, starting at No. 43. It’s also his first title on Streaming Songs, beginning at No. 23.

In all, 18 Kahan songs appear on the June 24-dated Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. The next-highest-charting hit after “Dial Drunk” belongs to “You’re Gonna Go Far,” which debuts at No. 7 with 4.4 million streams and 1,000 downloads.

“Stick Season,” the album’s lead single, peaked at Nos. 2 and 21 on the Adult Alternative Airplay and Alternative Airplay charts in November 2022 and February 2023, respectively. Its follow-up, “Homesick,” peaked at No. 7 on Adult Alternative Airplay in May. The latest single is “Dial Drunk,” which is bubbling under Alternative Airplay.

In all, Stick Season has earned 422,000 units to date.
