Netflix subscribers are going to lose access to more than 20 games next month following the news that the streamer is looking to wind down its interactive content.

Netflix first added games to its library in 2021 with subscribers able to play a number of mobile titles via the streamer’s app.

It’s now been confirmed that 22 of the games currently available to Netflix subscribers will be removed next month, including Hades, Monument Valley and SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.. No reason for their removal has been shared by Netflix.

The complete list of games leaving Netflix in July 2025 is:

Battleship
Braid Anniversary Edition
Carmen Sandiego
CoComelon: Play with JJ
Death’s Door
Diner Out: Merge Cafe
Dumb Ways to Survive
Ghost Detective
Hades
Katana Zero
Lego Legacy: Heroes Unboxed
Ludo King
Monument Valley
Monument Valley 2
Monument Valley 3
Rainbow Six: Smol
Raji: An Ancient Epic
SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.
TED Tumblewords
The Case of the Golden Idol
The Rise of the Golden Idol
Vineyard Valley

Hades will be removed July 1 while all the rest will leave on July 14, apart from Carmen Sandiego which is “leaving soon”.

A number of those games are only available to play via Netflix. In an email to The Verge, a spokesperson for Devolver Digital said the publisher was “looking at bringing games that leave services like Poinpy, Katana Zero and Death’s Door to mobile stores as premium titles” with that move set to take place “as soon as possible.”

Last year, Netflix closed down its ambitious Team Blue studio which was launched in 2022 but never released a game. Earlier this year, Netflix removed a number of interactive episodes from its library, including classic Black Mirror episode Bandersnatch.

Netflix spokesperson Chrissy Kelleher said that the technology used for interactive content was limiting the streamer’s “technological efforts in other areas.”

However Netflix has launched several of its own games in recent months. A Squid Game-inspired title was released to coincide with the launch of season two at the end of last year, while the adorable game featured in a Black Mirror season seven episode was also playable via the Netflix mobile app. In March, a Netflix executive spoke about the streamers plan to turn hit shows Stranger Things and Bridgerton into video games.

In other news, the Death Stranding 2: On The Beach celebration world tour hits London next week, and will include a live performance from Caroline Polachek.
