Mrs. GREEN APPLE Is First Act in J-Pop History to Hit 10 Billion Total Streams

Mrs. GREEN APPLE recently made J-pop history by becoming the first act to achieve 10 billion streams in Japan with its entire catalog.

The three-man pop-rock band has many songs that have been streamed over 100 million times, including its most-streamed single “Ao to Natsu,” “Tenbyou no Uta feat. Sonoko Inoue,” “Dance Hall,” and “Lilac,” which recently became the third-fastest song to surpass 600 million streams in the country. The “I’m Invincible” group has 25 songs that have accumulated 100 million streams, which is the most among all J-pop acts, according to Billboard Japan. Based on the platform’s own tally, Mrs. GREEN APPLE is now the first act in history to hit the 10-billion milestone in Japan.

The “Darling” trio is set to drop its anniversary best-of album 10 on July 8, the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut, and go on to headline outdoor shows on July 26 and 27 entitled MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY LIVE ~FJORD~ at a special venue in Yokohama’s Yamashita Pier, attracting 100,000 fans over the two days. The band’s biggest domestic tour to date called Mrs. GREEN APPLE DOME TOUR 2025 “BABEL no TOH” will make stops in five dome-sized venues across Japan from October to December, and is expect to draw a total of 550,000 people to the shows.
