Laura Jane Grace has cancelled the remainder of her 2025 tour following allegations of spousal abuse made by her wife.

Last week (July 17), Grace’s partner, Paris Campbell Grace, posted on social media asking the Against Me! singer to leave their shared home, stating that she felt “unsafe.”

Campbell accused her partner of recurrently “using her massive platform to attempt to hurt me” and said that she had locked herself in her office at the time of writing, as Grace was “tearing the house apart as I type this”.

Grace later responded to the accusations by apologising for her “poor decisions” but suggesting that the issue came from both sides of the marriage.

“It was reckless of me to get married so quickly and I made a lot of poor decisions where I absolutely should have known better,” she said. “My poor decisions have impacted my kid, my band and my community. I hold myself accountable for it and sincerely apologise.”

Now, in a follow-up post, she has confirmed that the remainder of her 2025 tour dates have been cancelled. Writing on Instagram, she said: “Unfortunately it has become apparent to me that at this time continuing ahead with touring is neither realistic nor in good taste. I’ll be taking the rest of the year off from the road to work on myself and get my life in order.”

She went on to apologise to Murder By Death, who were headlining the tour that she was part of, saying she regrets “bringing such a foul energy” to their farewell dates. She also apologised to the other bands on the tour, as well as the venues and promoters, the members of her band and to her label Polyvinyl for “royally fuckin up this album release”.

“I still think it’s a really good record and that people should give it a listen,” she added. “Hope to see everyone back out there on the road in 2026.”

The album in question is ‘Adventure Club’, which was released last week (July 18) and featured songwriting contributions from Campbell.

In Campbell’s original post, she claimed that her wife was exhibiting “sheer irrational rage towards me daily”, and shared that she was taking to social media as she didn’t “know what to do here, and I have nobody to turn to”.

The source of some of the alleged anger, Campbell claimed, was due to her past experiences as a sex worker, which was something that LJG allegedly became “resentful” over.

“I feel invisible, I feel like nobody will believe me, and I know it’s not right,” she continued. “I feel like I’m living in a dystopian nightmare, everyone every day telling me how much this woman loves me… while on the daily she tells me she hates me, wants me gone, but if I try to leave, that’s an issue too!! I am not okay!!!!!”

Elsewhere in Grace’s response, she said: “I would like to acknowledge my fault here and take responsibility for my mistakes. Anyone who has been paying attention can see clear as day that this has been a toxic, codependent relationship from the start.”
