KARD’s BM announces first solo mini-album, ‘Element’

KARD rapper BM has announced the upcoming release of his first solo mini-album, titled ‘Element’.

BM made the announcement today (April 24) through KARD’s social media pages, revealing the upcoming mini-album’s title and release date. In the post, the K-pop idol also dropped the first visual teaser for the record, which features the K-pop idol standing in the middle of an old-school movie theatre.

Per Star News‘Element’ is bring described as s project that “began with BM’s fundamental curiosity about the reason why various emotions arise between men and women, such as love, separation and jealousy”. The mini-album will be released on May 7 at 6pm KST, and comes about six months after his third single album ‘Lowkey’ in December 2023.

Shortly after the release of ‘Element’, BM will be embarking on a solo concert tour of the US, dubbed the ‘After the After Party’ tour. Beginning with a show in Los Angeles on May 14, the singer-rapper will head to five other US cities – Dallas, Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Washington D.C. – over the course of the same month.

KARD, completed by Somin, Jiwoo and J.Seph, last released music as a full group in May 2023 with the release of ‘Icky’, their sixth mini-album.

In other K-pop news, (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi made her Korean solo debut yesterday (April 23) with her first mini-album ‘YUQ1’. The record dropped in conjunction with a music video for its lead single ‘Freak’, a song that she performs entirely in English.
