Jenna Ortega romcom with ‘Wednesday’ co-star Percy Hynes White to premiere in June

Jenna Ortega is set to star in a new movie premiering later this year at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Ortega will appear alongside her Wednesday co-star Percy Hynes White, who plays Xavier Thorpe in the Addams Family spin-off series.

The film, titled Winter Spring Summer Or Fall is reportedly a romantic drama “loaded with classic tropes” of romcoms, but “with a generous helping of YA fizz.”

It was directed by Holidate and About Fate writer Tiffany Paulsen and was written by Dan Schoffer. The movie has been produced by Brad Krevoy, Josh Shader and David Wulf.

Its official description on the Tribeca Film Festival website reads: “Following a chance encounter, wunderkind Remy (Jenna Ortega) and music-obsessed slacker Barnes (Percy Hynes White) become inexorably entwined in each other’s lives.”

It continues: “As winter turns to spring and spring turns to summer, the two find themselves falling in love. But with Remy heading to Harvard in the fall, the young couple are forced to reevaluate what’s truly important to them.”

The film is set to tell a “Gen Z love story brimming with charm that will tug on the heartstrings regardless of age”.

Winter Spring Summer Or Fall is reportedly “loaded with classic tropes like the meet cute, prom and, of course, that climactic sprint.”

The Tribeca Film Festival will run from June 5 – 16 in New York City, and Winter Spring Summer Or Fall will have three showings across the festival.

It will premiere at the OKX Theatre at BMCC TPAC on June 6 at 5pm E.T, followed by two showings at Village East Angelika on June 7 at 2:30pm and June 15 at 8:30pm.

In other news, the cast for season two of Wednesday has been announced, with Steve Buscemi and Billie Piper joining the show for the second series.
