Jelly Roll Shares Sweet Birthday Surprise From Wife Bunnie XO

Jelly Roll turned 39 years old on Monday (Dec. 4), and the country superstar took to Instagram to share a message of gratitude and a glimpse into his family-filled celebration.

“I couldn’t ask for a better birthday. Im surrounded by family that loves me. I write songs and sing them for a living and right now I celebrate having the number 1 song on Country Radio with my sister Lainey Wilson. God is incredible – thanks for all the love,” the “Need a Favor” singer wrote alongside a selfie smiling with his dog.

The next slide shows a video of the intimate birthday celebration his wife Bunnie XO put together, featuring Jelly’s daughter, niece, nephew in law and the couple’s dogs all singing “Happy Birthday” to the man of honor. “My wife was waiting for me with my daughter , niece, nephew in law and of course all the dogs when I got home at midnight last night to sing me happy birthday- WHAT A YEAR,” he wrote.

What a year is right. It’s been a big year for Jelly Roll’s skyrocketing career, as he notched two No. 1 Country Airplay hits, with “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor.” He was also Billboard‘s cover star for its 2023 Country Power Players issue, and subsequently performed and spoke during Billboard‘s inaugural Billboard Country Live in Concert event in Nashville earlier this year. The star is nominated for two Grammy Awards for the upcoming 2024 ceremony, including best new artist and best country duo/group performance for the remix of “Save Me” with Lainey Wilson.
