How to unlock all costumes in ‘Mario Kart World’
Mario Kart World introduces character costumes for the first time, but instead of locking these behind racing with each character, you have to find them in an obscure way during races and the open world.
Here is what to do. Keep in mind that the only characters that you can unlock costumes for are the main individuals (Mario, Luigi, Daisy, etc), villains (Donkey Kong, Bowser), and human characters (Baby Mario, Baby Peach, etc). The NPC and enemy characters do not have any costumes or variations.
To unlock all costumes in Mario Kart World, you need to find the Dash Food (golden fast food bags), which can be found throughout the open world and in a few key locations during Grand Prix and races between each course.
Each region of the game has different Dash Food available, and by exploring and eating Dash Food in different areas, you will unlock new costumes for everyone. These include racer gear, winter suits, and other themed items. Thankfully, in the open world free roam mode, this is easy as you can switch between characters instantly via the map or the pause menu.

If you collect a Dash Food that doesn’t have a costume for your character, you will simply get a speed boost, and nothing will unlock. This allows you to narrow down locations to explore as each character.

Keep in mind that the new outfits are shown as new characters in the character selection screen, so you will need to find them amongst the huge list or sort the screen by character.
