Here’s Why Fans Think Beyoncé Might Star in Verizon’s 2024 Super Bowl Commercial

The BeyHive is buzzing with excitement over what fans believe will be a Beyoncé cameo during Verizon’s commercial at this year’s Super Bowl.

Though there’s no actual proof that the pop superstar has any involvement in the mobile phone company’s upcoming ad spot, a short teaser Verizon tweeted Wednesday (Feb. 7) has a lot of fans convinced that a Bey appearance is imminent. In the 11-second clip, actor-comedian Tony Hale stands behind an outdoor lemonade stand among crates filled with lemons.

“She wants me to squeeze all these lemons by myself?” he says while pressing juice into a pitcher. “This better work.”

At the very end of the trailer, a split-second flash of music plays — and fans have an idea about what song it is. “WAS THAT MY HOUSE AT THE END???” replied one person, referring to Bey’s December 2023 single.

“@mrtonyhale Gotta squeeze faster than that if you want to be ready in time,” Verizon captioned the sneak peek, adding the date of Super Bowl Sunday. “2.11.24”

The possible song hint and the parallel between the Ivy Park mogul’s acclaimed 2016 album Lemonade definitely don’t feel coincidental to the Hive. “The Lemonade references? My House playing in the end? Verizon being one of Renaissance World Tour’s sponsors?” wrote one fan on X. “Are we really going to see thee Beyoncé in a commercial during the Superbowl?”

“GET UP BEYONCÉ IS COMINGGGGGGGG,” tweeted another fan.

For their sake, the ad hopefully won’t be a repeat of the 2024 Grammys. The “Halo” vocalist had been rumored to perform at the ceremony. However, aside from attending to support Jay-Z as he accepted this year’s Global Impact Award, she wasn’t involved with the show.

Verizon’s commercial will air at some point during the Super Bowl broadcast this weekend from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs will go toe to toe with the San Francisco 49ers. Usher will helm the 2024 Halftime Show, 11 years after Bey headlined.
