Got Back: It looks like Paul McCartney is teasing a 2025 tour

Paul McCartney appears to be teasing a 2025 tour.

The Beatles legend wrapped up his UK and Europe ‘Got Back’ tour dates in December 2024. It marked McCartney’s first performances in the UK since his headline set at Glastonbury 2022, and saw Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood join him on stage for the final performance of the tour.

The tour technically kicked off in 2022 in the US, and saw McCartney visit the likes of South America and Australia over the years. Most recently, McCartney also played a series of surprise intimate gigs in New York’s Bowery Ballroom last February – his first time playing near NYC in three years.

Now, it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer to see McCartney live. In his Instagram stories, McCartney shared a photo of two guitar picks. One of the picks has ‘Got Back in 2025’ inscribed on it – strongly hinting that a new tour is on the way.

The musician also posted a link in his stories, directing you to sign up for a mailing list on his website to “receive information on tour dates, pre-sales and much more…”

Recently, Paul McCartney revealed the cover from a new book called ‘WINGS: The Story Of A Band On The Run’.

He also unveiled the foreword written by him, which reads: “Suddenly Wings has found its moment. We have a generational shift at work, and it’s like being transported back on a magic carpet. Working on the book has awakened so many beautiful memories of our times back then.”

The book was first announced in February, and will see McCartney give an oral history about the famous group. It’s expected to arrive on November 4, and is compiled from over 42 hours of brand-new interviews, as well as historical interviews and newly discovered, previously unheard interviews from Paul’s personal archive.

There will also be around 150 photographs capturing Wings throughout the years shot by Linda McCartney, Mike McCartney, Clive Arrowsmith, Henry Diltz, Robert Ellis and Paul himself.

In other news, Ozzy Osbourne has said he wants to collaborate with Paul McCartney: “I would be honoured”.
