The Manchester band’s third album was released in 2015, peaking at Number Seven in the UK Albums Chart. It featured the singles ‘Distant Past’, ‘No Reptiles’ and ‘Regret’.
An extended 10th anniversary edition of ‘Get To Heaven’ will be released on July 4, with a yellow/orange double-vinyl package available, as well as CD. A pink/purple double-vinyl format sold out instantly. All include bonus tracks, B-sides and demos and you can find the remaining versions here.
Speaking about the re-release, the band have said: “In the ten years since ‘Get To Heaven’ was released it feels more relevant than ever as we see megalomaniacs, narcissists and zealots extend their power and influence on the world stage. It was a tough record to make at the time and we’ve felt a deep connection to it ever since. The record has a life of its own which will continue regardless of what we do but we’re pleased and humbled to have a chance to swim in the vivid yet murky waters of ‘Get To Heaven’ again.’’

The group are set to perform ‘Get To Heaven’ in its entirety “for the first time ever” at the shows. They’ve also teased that they’ll be treating fans to “some extras”. See the full list of dates here and find tickets here.
Speaking to NME about ‘Get To Heaven’ in 2015, Everything Everything explained that the album was a product of 2014’s conflicting tide of information – which frontman Jonathan Higgs called the “most violent year of our lives”.
“Don’t quiz me on the politics of Syria or Ukraine,” Higgs said. “I don’t fucking know, but I know it makes me feel wretched and confused and anxious without having to know who’s right and who’s wrong.
“Instead, it’s trying to inhabit these people who do this stuff – like how would I feel if I was Muslim, or a rejected Hollywood teen like that Rodger kid. He was the one who did it for me. He was the son of a movie producer and his suicide video was a movie – it was shot like one, with that sunlight across his face, and he was acting, he was completely gone. I felt like a lot of the violence of last year desensitised me, and he represented the end result of that in some way.”
