Every song on the ‘Overcompensating’ soundtrack
TikTok personality Benito Skinner is the creator and star of new Amazon comedy drama Overcompensating.
The loosely autobiographical series follows closeted former footballer Benny, played by Skinner, who forms an unlikely friendship with Carmen as they both struggle to fit in at college.
Other cast members in the series include Wally Baram, Mary Beth Barone, Adam DiMarco, Rish Shah, Owen Thiele, Connie Britton, and Kyle MacLachlan.
Along with making a guest appearance, Charli XCX serves as an executive producer on the show and its soundtrack.
Who composed the soundtrack for Overcompensating?
The show’s score is a collaboration between composer Alex Somers, George Daniel from The 1975, and Amber Bain aka The Japanese House.
Somers previous film credits include Nickel Boys, Fresh, Honey Boy, and Captain Fantastic. He has also produced albums for Sigur Rós, Sin Fang, and A.G. Cook.
