Dan + Shay Score 10th Top 10 on Country Airplay Chart With ‘You’

Dan + Shay, the duo of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, bank their 10th top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, as “You” lifts to No. 10 on the list dated April 15.

In the tracking week ending April 6, the song increased by 5% to 16.7 million impressions, according to Luminate.

“You” was co-penned by Smyers, Dave Barnes and Jordan Reynolds, and produced by Smyers and Scott Hendricks.

Dan + Shay score their first Country Airplay top 10 since “Glad You Exist,” which became their eighth chart-topper in August 2021. The pair first led the list with “Nothin’ Like You,” for a week in December 2015, followed by “From the Ground Up” (one week, September 2016); “How Not To” (one, July 2017); “Tequila” (two weeks, July 2018); “Speechless” (four, December 2018-January 2019); “All to Myself” (one, August 2019); and “10,000 Hours,” with Justin Bieber (two, January-February 2020).

The duo first charted on Country Airplay with “19 You + Me,” which reached No. 11 in April 2014.

Solid as a ‘Rock’

Bailey Zimmerman’s “Rock and a Hard Place” rules Country Airplay for a third frame, up by 3% to 34.5 million impressions.

Zimmerman’s second straight career-opening leader is his first to dominate Country Airplay for multiple weeks. His “Fall in Love” paced the chart dated Dec. 10, 2022.

Zimmerman has a second song on Country Airplay, as his new radio single “Religiously” enters at No. 54 (949,000; up 43%).
