Coldplay have revealed which artists will be supporting them on their 2025 UK stadium tour. Check it out below.

The huge stadium shows will be taking place across the country in August this year, and will see frontman Chris Martin and co take on a residency at Hull’s Craven Park Stadium and London’s Wembley Stadium.

The shows come as the continuation of their record-breaking ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour – which recently became the biggest rock tour of all time by grossing $945.7million and selling 8.8million tickets since it began in March 2022.

The shows have also been praised for “setting a new standard” when it comes to an eco-conscious approach to live music. Now, with just under two months left until the tour kicks off, Coldplay have shared the artists who will be joining them for the shows.

These include Ayra Starr – who released her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’ last year and has also teamed up with the band previously on ‘Moon Music’ track ‘GOOD FEELiNGS’ – and Beabadoobee.

Also on the bill is Tems, who Martin selected as one of the artists set to perform at the FIFA Club World Cup halftime show next month, and Elyanna, who joined up with the band on the single ‘We Pray’ – also featuring Burna Boy, Little Simz and Tini.

Former NME star Chloe Qisha is on the line-up, following the frontman giving her a shout-out earlier this year and recommending her music to those struggling with mental health. The remainder of the support acts lined-up include Chiedu Oraka and Gustavo Didamel and The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

The news of the support acts comes as Coldplay recently performed ‘Speed Of Sound’ in full for the first time as a band since 2016.

The song was released as the lead single from 2005 album ‘X&Y‘, but Martin had expressed his reluctance to play it live, admitting that “we never got it right”. Though the song has been performed acoustically or partially, the recent performance in El Paso marked the first time the band have fully played the song in nearly 10 years.

This morning, the band also announced the re-issue of several albums on LPs made from recycled plastic bottles. These include 2000’s ‘Parachutes’, 2002’s ‘A Rush of Blood to the Head’, 2005’s ‘X&Y’, 2008’s ‘Viva La Vida’, 2011’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’, 2014’s ‘Ghost Stories’, 2015’s ‘A Head Full of Dreams’, 2019’s ‘Everyday Life’ and 2021’s ‘Music of the Spheres’.

At the end of 2024, NME spoke to Chris Martin in an exclusive interview last year about their 10th album ‘Moon Music’ and their constant support for emerging talent.

Explaining why he wanted to work with Arya Starr, he said: “Number one: she’s brilliant, and number two: she’s Nigerian. It would maybe work with an English person, but it wouldn’t be the same. [We asked] ‘Is it the person the song wants?’, ‘Is it someone Coldplay can give wider exposure to?’, and ‘Do they come from a completely different place to us?’”

“On our records, we’re covered for middle-aged white guys,” he added. “We don’t need any more of them, really. It’s fun to expand the band into other cultures, countries, genders and sexualities. That’s really what we believe in.”
