Lickona vows the eclectic music show, produced by PBS Austin, will continue, but calls on the music community's help.
The $9 billion package of cuts includes all funding that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was due to receive during the next two budget years.
The show is now airing on subscription service PBS Passport and will premiere on the network on August 31.
The 2022 show was co-hosted by Dee Dee Bridgewater & Delroy Lindo and will make its broadcast debut on Jan. 1.
