The artist and her longtime manager Roger Gold have parted ways.
Her collaboration with Elton John tops the U.K. Official Albums Chart, aided by a strategic campaign.
The fellowship will provide Gatheru with a $20,000 grant and a team of pro-bono representatives across management, PR, legal, marketing and more.

The superstar siblings have hired Sandbox Entertainment's Jason Owen, whose longtime clients include Kelsea Ballerini and Kacey Musgraves.
The private equity firm says the all-in value of the company — which owns talent agency WME, marketing agency 160over90 and brand licensing agency IMG — is $25 billion.
"The strategy really opened the conversation and made the fans feel like a part of the process," says Carti's manager Erin Larsen.
The singer joins a roster that includes Jack Harlow, Shaboozey, Rita Ora, Pentatonix, Saweetie, Midland and PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Hurd will release his new project, Midwest Rock & Roll, on March 21.
The artist was formerly with Adam Leber's Rebel Management.
