BLACKPINK Teases Fans With First Photo of All Members Together in Months
It’s official — the members of BLACKPINK are finally in each others’ area once again.
In a series of since-expired posts on their Instagram Stories, all four members of the K-pop group — JENNIE, JISOO, LISA and ROSÉ — posed for their first photo together in months on Tuesday (June 24). While the shot doesn’t include any of the members’ faces, it does show all four members holding their hands together to create the shape of a four-leaf clover, with the photo also including a clover emoji.
BLINKs immediately began sharing the photo across social media, trying to decode what the photo actually meant for the girl group. “It’s either the comeback song is titled ‘Clover’ or it has something to do with clovers,” one fan wrote. Another added, “So a clover is definitely part of the song or something, she must be trying to spoil or tease something.”
The new picture comes a few weeks ahead of the girl group’s much-anticipated Deadline World Tour, which kicks off at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium on July 5 before heading through stadiums around the globe and closing at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on Jan. 25.
Each of the members have also expressed their eagerness to reunite. For Billboard‘s January cover story, JENNIE told deputy editor Lyndsey Havens that she and her bandmates were still talking everyday via a group text. “Even though we know we can’t see each other so much, it doesn’t really feel any different than all the other years because we know we’re here for each other,” she said. “They’re literally a phone call away.”
For the fans anxiously waiting to hear new music from the trio, LISA revealed back in May that the group was already back “in the studio a few days ago,” before adding her excitement to see BLACKPINK’s fans again. “We’re all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the BLINKs. We can’t wait to see them.”
