Billboard’s Top 5 Songs of the Summer In 2010 | Billboard News

Billboard looks back and counts down the top five songs that ruled the summer of 2010.

Rania Aniftos:
The first song in our top five of the summer charts is from a British singer songwriter Taio Cruz. He had us feeling like we were about to explode on the dance floor with No. 5’s “Dynamite.”

Rania Aniftos:
2010 was the year of club beats, and another club favorite from Usher featuring Will.i.am made it to the top of the chart, coming in at No. 4 with “OMG.”

Rania Aniftos:
Making it to the third spot on our 2010 Songs of the summer Hot 100 list is a collab featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Rapper B.o.B’s “Airplanes” is next on our list.

Rania Aniftos:
Another collab making it into the top five: one of Eminem’s biggest hits of all time, featuring R&B powerhouse Rihanna. The duo’s massive hit “Love the Way You Lie” comes in at No. 2.

And the No. 1 song of 2010 — another collaboration! This time a song celebrating a place always associated with summer, California. Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg reigned supreme in 2010 with “California Gurls.”

Rania Aniftos:
Now which collaboration had you bumping in the club in 2010? Tune in next week as we continue counting down Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs of the Summer.
