GloRilla Celebrates Her Birthday & Trolls Fans About Her Real Age Days After Drug Arrest: ‘Happy Glo Day’
GloRilla might have gotten into a sticky legal situation a few days ago, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to let her birthday pass without celebrating.
On Monday (July 28), the Memphis rapper commemorated her big day by posting a series of snaps from a glamorous photo shoot on Instagram. “Happy Glo Day to Queen Leo,” she wrote.
She also trolled followers by adding “#30,” jokingly implying that she’s four years older than her actual age of 26.
Glo’s birthday comes less than a week after she was arrested on felony drug charges, having turned herself in to Forsyth County Jail in Georgia on July 22. Two days prior, police allegedly found a “significant amount of marijuana” and narcotics in the hip-hop star’s home, which they’d entered while responding to a reported burglary for which she was not present.
She was later released on a $22,260 bond. Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in the case of the three suspects who trespassed on Glo’s residence — where they were met with gunfire by an occupant — on the day of the burglary.
“The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice,” local sheriff Ron Freeman said in a recent statement. “At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”
If you’re wondering how Glo feels about the situation, however, the musician made her feelings quite clear in a post on X two days after her arrest. “CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game,” she wrote at the time. “Instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis.”
Aside from her brush with the law, Glo had a pretty phenomenal 25th year. Last October, she dropped her debut studio album, Glorious — which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 — before teaming up with Tyler, the Creator and Sexyy Red on Billboard Hot 100 hit “Sticky.” And on July 25, the rapper hosted her very first Glo Bash at Memphis’ FedEx Forum, joined by guests Sexyy, Rob 49 and Muni Long.
