Noel Gallagher has spoken about Oasis‘ imminent return to the stage, saying that the band are “sounding huge”.

The Britpop group will perform the first show of their massive 2025 reunion tour tonight (July 4) at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

They’ll play a second gig at the venue tomorrow (5) ahead of five nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park, seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, and stops in Edinburgh and Dublin. Oasis will later head to North AmericaSouth AmericaAustraliaSouth Korea and Japan.

During an interview with talkSPORT (via BBC News), Noel looked ahead to sharing the stage with his formerly estranged brother Liam for the first time since Oasis broke up in 2009.

“It’s sounding huge,” he teased. “This is it, there’s no going back now.”

Noel confirmed that the band had “finished rehearsing” on June 17, before having “a few days off”. You can check out the full interview in the video below.

This week, an impressive drone display showing Oasis’ iconic logo appeared above the Principality Stadium to celebrate the start of the comeback tour. More audio snippets from the venue have also emerged, giving hints at what fans can expect from the setlist.

However, Liam had previously told fans that the clips were “recording[s] from rehearsals” that had been played through the stadium’s speakers, rather than the band playing there in person.

Support for the UK and Ireland leg of Oasis Live ’25 comes from Richard Ashcroft and Cast – check out the full stage times for Cardiff night one here, and see the latest weather forecast.

Liam had already revealed that the opening show in the Welsh capital would have a start time of 8:15pm, telling fans: “Don’t be late or we’ll start without you and you don’t want that now do ya.”

The rest of the band line-up – as exclusively revealed by NME – is comprised of past members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, along with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums.

Elsewhere, Aldi has renamed a Manchester branch “Aldeh” in honour of the reunion tour, with Lidl launching a special ‘Lidl By Lidl’ Oasis jacket inspired by Liam’s Berghaus coat.

Last month saw Liam and Noel appear together in an Adidas Originals advert as part of a new partnership with the brand. They also teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their comeback.

Fans will be able to buy new merch at pop-up stores in the cities Oasis are playing in this summer, but have been instructed to “book now to avoid queues”.

In other news, the UK competition watchdog has written to Ticketmaster threatening legal action over its “misleading” methods of selling tickets for the Oasis reunion tour.
