The Death Stranding 2: On The Beach world tour hits London next week, and will include a performance from Caroline Polachek.

A tour celebrating the release of Death Stranding 2 was confirmed earlier this year and has already visited Los Angeles and Sydney. Later this week, Paris and Tokyo will host the event before it arrives in London on June 30.

The event at London’s Outernet will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and will include “a special appearance by Hideo Kojima and an exclusive live performance by Caroline Polachek of her song ‘On the Beach’ featured on the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach soundtrack, followed by a panel discussion focused on the game’s music.”

Polachek released ‘On The Beach’ earlier this week. The haunted pop song was originally written for her 2019 album ‘Pang’ but it was “too alien and industrial” so she set it aside.

“When Kojima approached me about Death Stranding 2, I showed him the sketch of it and he agreed that it was a perfect fit, and so eight years after starting this song, it got reopened, extended, and finished for the perfect setting,” Polachek said in a statement.

The complete schedule for the Death Stranding 2: On The Beach celebration tour is as follows:

In November, a musical Death Stranding concert tour begins with the ‘Strands Of Harmony’ world tour featuring music from the 2019 original and the sequel.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach launches tomorrow (June 26) and has already received rave reviews. In a five-star write-up, NME said: “Death Stranding 2 doesn’t take well to bingeing: it’s a slow-burning game that remains an acquired taste. But it’s far more accessible and fun to play this time around, with simply more entertainment between the quieter ‘walking simulator’ phases. For sheer creativity and daring in a blockbuster game, you owe it to yourself to check it out.”

In other news, Superman actor David Corenswet has revealed he’s a big Star Wars gamer and grew up playing Battlefront.
