The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are banning Trump supporters from attending shows: “I don’t want you there”

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have warned supporters of Donald Trump that they’re “not allowed” to attend their concerts – find out more blow.

This past weekend (June 15), frontman Ronnie Winter took to Instagram to share a video in which he announced to fans that Trump supporters are unwelcome at the band’s future concerts – this was reposted on the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ official page.

Winter has long been critical of Trump, dating back to 2020, when he criticised people for voting for Trump back in 2016, and has since steadily voiced his opposition of the President. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Winter was criticised for being “woke” for telling his followers to get their vaccines and wear face masks.

The frontman said in a video posted on Instagram: “What’s up? Ronnie from Red Jumpsuit here. Just doing a quick little PSA. I thought I was pretty clear about all this stuff in 2020. As you notice on my Instagram, I did not remove any of that stuff from the Stay Woke campaign. I guess you guys are calling it from 2020.

“Look, man, the thing about being woke is you’re awake. And once you’re awake, you can never go to sleep. And not only has nothing changed, but everything they said was going to happen, the woke people, has happened. You have done nothing but prove them right.

“So here it is again, in case somehow you missed it. Hi, I’m Ronnie Winter. I sing for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and I actually follow what Jesus says. If you’re a Christian and you’re watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you.

“You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don’t want you there. Don’t come to my shows. It’s awesome that you love Face Down. It’s not for you. It’s not your song. It is not your song.

“If you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows or ever, not just these four years. Don’t come to my shows because you’re going to hear a lot of woke propaganda, and you’re going to hear the actual words of Jesus. You’re going to see a lot of acceptance from all areas of life and races, and you’re just going to see a lot of harmony. That’s not what you’re about. Don’t come. Refunds are available. Forever, don’t come. Goodbye.”

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus aren’t the only act to hit out at Trump and take a stand against his presidency. At their first-ever Download headline slot last Friday (June 13), Green Day took jabs at the President, reportedly asking the crowd to call Trump a “fat bastard”, also telling them: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are slipping into fascism… it’s up to us to fight back!”.

Finneas has reported that he was tear-gassed at a “peaceful” LA protest against ICE’s forceful immigrant deportations and raids, adding: “Fuck ICE”. Meanwhile, Kim Gordon released a remix of her song ‘BYE BYE’ with words that have been banned by the Trump administration such as “advocate”, “climate change”, “female”, “Hispanic”, and “immigrants”.

Doechii also spoke out against Trump whilst accepting an award at the BET Awards 2025, saying: “Trump is using military forces to stop a protest. I want you all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us. What type of government is that?”

Shakira, meanwhile, said that she lives in “constant fear” as an immigrant in the US, whilst Addison Rae added that she was “disappointed and disturbed by what is happening across our nation”. Olivia Rodrigo also attended anti-ICE protests, and took to social media to share: “LA simply wouldn’t exist without immigrants”.

However, OneRepublic frontman and producer Ryan Tedder has criticised the protests against Trump, calling it a “super bummer”.
