Biffy Clyro tease new single ‘A Little Love’
Biffy Clyro have announced a new single called ‘A Little Love’ – check out the preview snippet below.
The Scottish trio, whose latest album ‘The Myth Of The Happily Ever After’ arrived in 2021, first signalled their return back in January. “Back at it,” they wrote on social media at the time.
Last night (May 21), Simon Neil and co. made their live return at an intimate secret show at the SWG3 Warehouse in Glasgow. They appeared under the pseudonym Screwfish – which was an early name for the band.
According to Setlist.FM, Biffy Clyro opened the one-off gig with the first-ever performance of ‘A Little Love’. Now, the group have confirmed that the studio version of the song will be released on Wednesday June 11. Pre-save/pre-add here.
They’ve also shared a short preview snippet of the forthcoming single in a video containing footage from last night’s Screwfish concert. “It’s been a minute,” they wrote in the caption.
Biffy then told fans that ‘A Little Love’ would be receiving its “festival debut” when they play Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025 in Liverpool tomorrow (May 23). You can watch the clip in the post above, along with fan-shot footage of its live debut.
Elsewhere, fans on Reddit have shared an email from Biffy Clyro where the trio promised that “more will be revealed soon” regarding new music. “Keep your eyes peeled on on our socials, and join our Instagram broadcast channel for behind-the-scenes content from the studio and more,” they added.
Following Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the group are scheduled to make appearances at numerous European festivals, including Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, Southside and Pinkpop.
Next month, Biffy will return to Glastonbury Festival ahead of huge sets at Cornwall’s Eden Sessions and a headline slot at Glasgow’s TRNSMT.
Last October, Biffy Clyro took to the stage in London and Glasgow to celebrate their first three albums – ‘Blackened Sky’ (2002), ‘The Vertigo Of Bliss’ (2003) and ‘Infinity Land’ (2004).
In the time since the band’s last full-length record, frontman Simon Neil has been busy with his grindcore side-project Empire State Bastard, which he founded alongside Oceansize‘s Mike Vennart. The group released their debut album ‘Rivers Of Heresy’ in 2023.
