Hideo Kojima confirms ‘Death Stranding 2’ celebration world tour
Hideo Kojima has confirmed details of a world tour to celebrate the release of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is due to launch June 26, 2025 for the PlayStation 5 and now a number of celebration events have been announced.
“Porters, tie your boots and grab your pack because the launch of Death Stranding 2 is just around the corner,” reads a statement. “Reunite with Sam as he embarks on a mission to reconnect the fragmented remnants of humanity. Venturing beyond the UCA, Sam is joined by new companions as he sets out to once again save a broken world, this time plagued by a haunting question: should we have connected?”
The tour is described as a “celebration of all things Death Stranding” and each stop of the tour will feature “special guests and events”.

The same month the Death Stranding 2 celebration tour wraps up, a musical concert tour begins. Announced earlier this year, the ‘Death Stranding: Strands Of Harmony’ world tour will feature music from the 2019 original and the sequel.
“Experience an orchestra and singers perform the most unforgettable songs from the series by Ludvig Forssell, Low Roar and other artists, while synchronised HD videos play on screen to relive Sam’s encounters, farewells, fierce battles, joys, and sorrows—allowing audiences to relive the stories of Death Stranding and On The Beach through music,” reads a press release.
Tickets for the ‘Death Stranding: Strands of Harmony’ world tour are available here.
Earlier this month, creator Hideo Kojima confirmed he had ideas for more Death Stranding games – but doesn’t want to make them himself.
In other news, Fortnite has added an AI-powered Darth Vader NPC to the game that uses the voice of the late James Earl Jones. Players have already tricked the AI bot into swearing and Star Wars fans are furious about the “dystopian and sinister” addition to the game.
