The star says the case, filed by one of his former St. Lunatics bandmates, is so “baseless” that the attorneys who filed it should face legal penalties.
The filmmaker died at the age of 78.
The pop star also boosted a number of charities she's supporting amid the crisis.
“I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision,” wrote the star of Dune, Blue Velvet, and Twin Peaks. “I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I’d ever met.”
